Billy Daisy and Gregory

Gregory G. Leedberg created Daisy for DOS which evolved to Billy on Windows. These are AI Chat Bots that brought me hours of AI flavored happiness in the year 2000.

Billy Daisy and Gregory

Billy Project
Even though these programs serve purposes which may make them seem like toys, the artificial intelligence developed to support these programs is actually quite advanced. The goal is to advance this AI within these programs, so that it may eventually be applied to real-world problems.
Daisy is from Y2K runs on MSDOS. It made me laugh for hours. Billy is even Smarter. If you can teach billy a thing or two about your own mind then you will be soon be "Talking to yourself "

Learn how to give someone a piece of one's mind but do not try that on a Smart Bot. Then you will lose your Peace of Mind.

Students can learn a lot by using this software and understand how to make Interactive Bots.

Taking Windows 10 Retro

Sometimes we need to slow down and apply the brakes, especially so when we are going in the wrong direction at a high speed. These days i am in retro in most everything, because "Darling, I am growing old"

Ultimate Windows Tweaker 4 for Windows 10 - I used this to remove the Arrows from the shortcut icons.

Retro And Vintage Icons - Every icon has been carefully made by design experts in Iconshock.

But how about if you want to customize the icons size, for example, to set them larger than the default large size? Well here is a hint on how to set the icons size to any size you want:

How to set Desktop Icons to any Size

Using the left-click of the mouse, click on an empty area in the desktop. This step is to make sure that there is no application selected/clicked on.

Using your keyboard, press and keep holding the CTRL button, then using your mouse wheel, roll it upward to make the icons size larger, or downward to set the icon size smaller

ToYcon screenshots - Convert Images To Icons

ToYcon is an easy to use tool to convert images into icons (.ico format) and vice versa. It supports JPG, BMP, PNG, TGA and GIF formats and can create various size icons in 4 bits to 32 bits with optional compression for Vista.

DMM or Digital Multimeter

A nice DMM is the first thing you should own. Have one for High Voltage and High Energy and another for Workbench Testing.

Better to use external attenuators and shunts when high energy is involved. Make yourself and your instruments last for some time. Safety is first. Footwear and Gloves can help.

DMM or Digital Multimeter

A DMM with Rotary Switch, like the one above is popular. The Switches do give trouble after a few years. Better go for a Auto Ranging type. Ensure cables are not frayed or near hot objects.

A Lab Workbench DMM can be larger and with a higher resolution and Better accuracy. Resolution is the number of digits or decimal positions. like 2.348 is higher resolution than 2.3

Accuracy means how correct the reading is to a Relative Standard in the Workplace or an Absolute Reference in the Standards Lab.  1.034 Reading on your DMM for a Reference Source of 1.000 is pretty inaccurate. Send it to the Calibration Lab once a Year.
